In the full workflow of semiconductor manufacturing and packaging & testing, wafers carry immense value. As ultra-high-precision core substrates, wafers are highly sensitive to static electricity, moisture, dust and electromagnetic interference. Even minor environmental fluctuations may cause chip breakdown, oxidation and moisture damage, leading to large-scale scrapping. To meet such stringent protection requirements, the performance of packaging materials directly affects production yield and corporate costs.

With over two decades of experience in industrial packaging,Star Group has developed anti-static aluminum foil bags dedicated to semiconductor wafer storage. Manufactured using a four-layer co-extrusion composite process, the product adopts a pure aluminum shielding structure to create a Faraday cage effect. It delivers stable resistance ranging from 10⁴Ω to 10¹¹Ω, which allows rapid static dissipation and effectively mitigates risks of electrostatic breakdown. Meanwhile, its high-barrier property blocks oxygen and moisture, helping wafers retain their original performance during storage periods of several months.

The manufacturing environment for such high-end protective products also deserves close attention.Star Group operates a modern production site covering more than 200,000 square meters, including a 5,000 m² Class 1000 cleanroom and a 1,000 m² Class 100 cleanroom. This setup ensures zero silicon precipitation and no residual dust throughout the production of wafer-grade anti-static aluminum foil bags. This strict control over cleanliness complies with international anti-static standards such as IEC 61340-5-1. The product suits long-term storage and handling of 12-inch and 8-inch wafers, making it a key packaging consumable for wafer fabrication and semiconductor foundry enterprises.
